“As Henry Ward Beecher was quoted, ‘Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.’ There is amazing love and talent that extends far beyond Rita Loyd’s own nature in her pictures. This is a nature so profound that it extends healing into the Soul’s of others. The content composed in her book, gives words to the truth in healing that can be had when one is ready. This is just the book to help facilitate that healing in a gentle and loving way. A nurturing book about lasting self love and change to be read by all.”

Unconditional Self-Love, by Rita Loyd, is a powerfully effective ‘tool’ for those of us on an earnest path of self-discovery and healing. This essential handbook of self-empowerment offers a practical, easy-to-follow approach to exploring one’s inner emotional landscape, while feeling ‘safe’ to do so. …Truly an invitation to heal.”
~ Karen Ormstedt, Artist and Engineer

“We are all on our own journey of self-discovery and self-love.   Rita’s book is a beautiful tool for all to use on their individual journey.”
~ Donna Howard, Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Organizational Development Specialist

I especially love the line drawing that asks participants to fill in the hearts with messages of self-love.  The reproductions of your paintings in color are also strikingly beautiful.  The book itself is a wonderful resource for people who are on the journey, as it helps them understand that this is a process, and that since others have survived the journey and are glad that they embarked on it, there is hope that it will be worthwhile for them also.
Rita Lawrence, Sexual Assault Program Manager Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center

As an Executive Director of a Sexual Violence organization for twenty years, I find the book very useful for both individual and groups of survivors. Far too often survivors feel they are alone or no one understands their pain. I find having your books in the only shelter in the State of Vermont for male and female victims/survivors of sexual violence allows survivors to use them in their own private space to work towards healing.
~ Bobbi Gagne, Executive Director of a Sexual Violence organization

“Shelter Agencies for Families in East Texas (SAFE-T) considers it an honor to use Rita Loyd’s book  ’Unconditional Self-Love’ as a powerful tool of healing in our domestic violence support group. The universal message of unconditional self-love and healing crosses all cultural and socioeconomic boundaries, and empowers all women to recreate and internalize a healthy concept of self-love.  The artwork and poetry integrated within the context of this inspirational book celebrate and illuminate the topic of unconditional self-love with dignity and respect.”
~ Charla Bowen, MS, MED, LPC-I SAFE-T Group Facilitator

We have had many support groups here at our center but none have had quite the impact on our survivors as our “Unconditional Self-Love” Support group. With this book Rita Loyd has used words and art to bring healing and restoration in such a beautiful way to women or anyone who chooses to apply the principles that Rita puts forth. Time and time again women have had a major epiphany regarding love for themselves and others during our group. This book has and continues to change lives. We are starting our fifth ”Unconditional Self-Love” Group and it just keeps getting better! Thank you Rita for this amazing tool, I would highly recommend this book for any group or individual.
